What is a bonded warehouse?<\/strong><\/h2>

A bonded warehouse is a storage facility where goods are kept under customs supervision. In the Netherlands, this corresponds to the customs warehouse procedure (douane-entrepot). Under this arrangement, non-Union goods can be stored in customs-approved facilities without the immediate payment of import duties and other customs charges. The goods remain under customs supervision until they are placed under another customs procedure, exported, or otherwise cleared.<\/p>
